  • Winning the Day

It all starts in the first two or three hours of the day. Figure out the previous day, what you need to get done. What is the hardest thing on your list and do it first thing in the morning.

The first two hours of the day are likely the most productive parts for the majority, so capitalize on this momentum. Get the ball moving early and keep it moving with smaller more manageable tasks.

Win the day with the right start.

Plan, organize and win your day today.

  • Be the Artist

Every Artist has a different style, but they all start with the same blank canvas. Don’t believe me check it out at any art gallery near you. It’s a great adventure in my story and tells the story of other perspectives in a moment of time. It’s quite a beautiful thing, once you realize how introspective a piece can be. Just because it’s a great adventure in my book doesn’t mean it applies to you.

Art describes our inner view on the world and much like art, we picture each day how we want it to be.

Art is everywhere and in everything, you just have to look a bit deeper to find it. Hone your artist eye and see the innovation around you.

I personally had to remove social media for a while to get back into my creative flow state. You might need a blank page and simply just start. You might already be there in your creative flow but overwhelmed with the possibilities to create.

I say to you, be intentional, be introspective, let it flow and start with one idea at a time. It makes it much easier to begin when the stakes are lower. Don’t pressure yourself and it all come naturally.

The canvas will be filled at the end of each day, with your choices and the decisions that you let life choose. Be intentional with each day, then each hour, your time is valuable.

Be in the mindset that you have already accomplished what you wanted and start the day by speaking into existence or writing it down to keep track. My preference is to use both methods to make my days intentional.

Start your day with this one phrase and it will change your life. I am BLANK, today was wonderful day, meeting, event, task, competition. This can be as specific or unspecified as you want, but you must say it and you will live it.

I am an artist and today was filled with wonderful adventures of life.

  • Ignore the Noise

Others will always give comments, good and bad. This can either be a motivator or distraction from your goal.

Don’t let the noise prevent you from starting in the first place because you’re the one being expressive and sharing your project. This is your hard work that only you have worked on.

Be determined to state your truth despite potential noise. This should serve as a motivator.

Stay in your flow state with creativity, publish even more now, the noise grows with it, but it does not matter. You mastered ignoring the noise much earlier and used it to uplift you.

Ignore the noise because they haven’t walked a step in your shoes. Create more than ever and do it every day.

  • Each Day is Wonderful

A new day is the sign of a new beginning. A clean canvas that you are able to paint from the start. Some parts and pieces might already be filled in, but the world can take hold to help fill in the rest.

The beauty in life is at things can go wrong, be off plan and create discomfort.

You might have had a whole day planned out from beginning to end, with the picture-perfect stops along the way. Until life happened, created unexpected delays, or obstacles. How you face these obstacles is a true representation of your mindset.

You might want to freakout, be frustrated and angry with this annoyances.

This change of plans in your day is an opportunity, that opens new avenues of life to pour in. Face this obstacle as an opportunity to embrace discomfort.

Being uncomfortable creates personal growth, no matter how small the delay or change of plans are. Take that moment of a car cutting you off as a moment of peace and acceptance.

This doesn’t mean to let life come to you, but to be accepting of all outcomes.

Let your reaction display your true ambitions towards change and embrace the discomfort that life brings to you.

You will make peace and treat each day as an opportunity to be better than yesterday.

  • Daily writing prompt
If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say?

Never let doubts cloud your mind and don’t stop blazing your own trail in this life.

  • Become Lost

Over this past year I’ve felt more lost than I thought I could be. I’m a man who has always been determined to grow, to follow the steps that are needed to become successful. When everything is planned out for you it becomes easy to fall in line and just show up.

School is one such example of this. Show up every day, do your work and get good grades. You are promised that this will make you successful, and the better the grades the more you are considered person of potential. Your social and future financial situations all depend on this. The best way is to show up and work hard. We were young and thought nothing if it, it was all we knew and we trusted in this without thought.

Success is not dependent on just one pillar of life. It is much more, and yet it is not taught in school. School is defined as the primary pillar of life that matters from ages 5-22 (depending on your education level). These years are defined and built on a pillar that won’t last. What happens when it doesn’t exist anymore.

    It creates a void.

All your previous success or failure, matters little if there is no pillar there anymore.

A clean slate is given to you, and you are to create anew.

The tools you needed from school were not practiced preparing you for your journey ahead. Failure is your teacher, try and try again. Find what works for you and try again because you were never told the best way.

Being lost is not a failure, it is success in finding your current life is not what you wanted. Becoming more lost than you ever had before is the change you needed to wake up. To realize that a new chapter is beginning.

I was so lost for a year, just to realize that I needed that time to digest the who, what and where, I wanted to truly be. To be the best version of myself I needed to reflect, to be so lost that I tried everything and failed. Struggling to find my true self and unleash my potential.

I now know through reflection of my hardships and struggle during this past year, that I was always exactly where I needed to be. I wasn’t moving too fast or slow, I was moving at the pace that led to an awaking.

Become lost. Become so lost you don’t know the who, what or where. Being lost is a gift because it is the beginning of a new wonderful life chapter that you wrote page by page. Only you can bring about your next chapter by being lost to find what you truly want.

  • Just Say Yes

If you can think of anything that gives you the slightest bit of interest, curiosity, passion, or euphoric feeling and you haven’t gone after it. Please take a moment to think about the why. Why haven’t you started that project, what excuse did you come up with this time.

I’ve thought of many ideas that have intrigued me, many of them I only thought of but gave no real action to. I asked myself this same question, why and what stopped me from going through with the idea. It came down to pure reaction and lack of discipline.

Pure reaction has made it, so I have no other choice but to declare if I’m going to start or give into thought process. The thought process often makes projects seem much more difficult than it actually is. I’ve done my fair share of mental gymnastics over the thought of getting my idea into reality. I have fallen too many times into this rabbit hole that spirals to me being less confident than ever to start the process, all before it even started at all.

Or even worse, when I did start the project, it never came to full fruition. I did all the calculations and looked over each step of the way to ensure the project would be perfect. However, I lacked the discipline to continue and hold the values I began with. I tried to make the perfect product, instead of trying to have the most fun with it.

You will say yes to your ambitions, you will have fun with them, you will take action. Do not ponder on the what ifs, the outcomes that haven’t happened yet or get so caught up in the thought process behind it.

You must take action and just say yes.

  • Today is the Best Yesterday

It may be nerve wracking starting your first post, I can certainly understand and attest to this fact. The fear that what you’re saying might be disliked by those who read your work. Everyone wants their work to be LOVED and be perfect. This isn’t the case for the vast majority of posts that are out there. The reason behind this is because the perfect post was never perfect enough for the author to show it to their community. So be bold, be you, your thoughts matter and the world must hear it. It may not be liked by everyone and that’s fine. It only matters that you believe in what you post and share it to the world. You will create a community that truly loves your work. The community that you will build, will only be able to see your talent and abilities, if you display them today. Start today and you can thank yourself tomorrow for not needed a yesterday to begin your dreams.
