If the rock is big enough it will be immoveable.
Creating a strong foundation to build on is an important part of growth. With a strong, heavy and immoveable foundation you can pretty much build anything you want there.
With a small foundation or an unstable foundation that natural security of stability is diminished.
In times of rough waters ahead and currently here, it can seem that stability is all we need. We feel this from a volatility in pricing, but this is just one obstacle of many that we could face. With volatility we seek stability, in times of stability we feel trapped and want freedom.
We’ll always want more and think we deserve more for our hard work.
It’s human nature.
Looking back in history, as it repeats many times over just played out a bit differently than the last. We can infer what is going to happen or make good, educated guesses.
Sometimes it’s good to be like a rock other time not so much and it leads only to disaster.
Being stable, adaptable and flexible.
Try everything out that you can get your hands on. It only makes your foundation bigger and is an opportunity to try something new.
I definitely seek the stability of the rock, but I can see that being as inflexible as one isn’t the best choice. But it still can be a good one when you’re in the right spot.
I need the stability and crave it, but it’s not my only goal. I won’t become blind to the opportunities around me by tunnel vision.
I choose stability, adaptability and flexibility.
Because life happens and changes in the blink of an eye.
I’ll be ready, will you?
