Fueling the Fire

Have you ever made a fire before?

If not, this is how it typically goes.

The first steps are foundation, grab the sticks of various sizes, organize them from small kindling to large logs, make sure the logs aren’t wet. Also grab some starter, like hay for something easier to catch a flame from a small spark. Of course, you need a striker or a lighter, lighter would be much easier but for this I’ll explain with a striker. Find a spot that’s not to covered by trees so they don’t light up too, grab some rocks and make a campfire’s foundation to contain it. Take the hay and small kindling stick and set them up into a teepee or triangle shape. Only then can you raise your striker and begin the guessing game. When will it happen? A spark to catch the hay and will the hay light the small sticks and will that light the logs. Oh, wait it worked, actually never mind it didn’t quite yet and then it does again. And this cycle continues over and over till you get it just right. The easy part is keeping it going, add some logs that are dry and hope it doesn’t rain.

So why the heck did I just explain that one fire is cool or rather hot according to thermodynamics, two this process and apply to many things in life.

The gathering, organizing, (working, adjusting) on repeat till, winning and maintaining.

How do you fuel your fire, you are you still building it.

I’m still building gathering, organizing, working and adjusting. All at the same time. I will continue to do this till I win.

You might be a different spot or all of them at once.

Just know that your spark will come with time and patience. And you can figure out how to maintain it later. So, don’t worry about it. Just keeping striking and adjusting.

Win your fire and maintain it from then on, that’s the easy part.

Each spark is a future fire each different in their own ways and each is full of potential to become the biggest fire there is.

But you’ll never know till you get the fire going in the first place.
